Melvin spun his B-3 magic with the Jerry Garcia Band for 18 years and in doing so helped pioneer and define what has now become “Jam Band Music”. The Disco Biscuits are an American electronic jam band from Philadelphia known for their live performances and light shows. The band consists of Allen Aucoin (drums), Marc Brownstein (bass), Jon Gutwillig (guitar), and Aron Magner (keyboard).
They differ from many bands in that they incorporate elements from a variety of musical genres into electronic and rock. This unique style has been referred to as trance fusion or livetronica.
